Where do I add custom style coding in my Big Cartel theme controls?

In your Big Cartel shop admin area, click the Customize design link at the top right of your Big Cartel admin area:
Click the advanved icon (
) and then click the CSS link:
Click the full screen icon (
):
Scroll to the very bottom of the CSS code and enter your custom style coding at the end of ALL existing code in the CUSTOM SYLES section.

Always exit fullscreen mode (click 
) and click the Save link after making any changes.
